Cross shore wind and decent waves. Not easy getting out as there does seem
to be a couple of lines of wind shadow and there was little space between
the waves. A local said the shadows were caused by the town (Bridlington)
although it looks to be a long way off. Out back was OK, but a cross chop
from the local effects of the wind starts to build on the main swell which
makes the water a little confused. Excellent down the line riding was
available for those with the skill and bottle, but not for me. 4.7 seemed
too much on the face of the wave and 4.2 may have been enough, but the
extra power was useful getting out.
Has a few rinsings in the break, but nothing too bad. Overall a really good
session - I will certainly be back next time there is a decent northerly
and will go DTL.
